Field Course Technician
UC Natural Reserve
In this role, I support field course logistics, including organizing course supplies, instructional materials, food planning, field schedules, and equipment inventories. This experience has strengthened my ability to coordinate field-based education, prepare materials for remote or outdoor learning environments, and support instructors and students during field courses.
Reserve Assistant
Strathearn Ranch Natural Reserve
As a reserve assistant, I maintained reserve infrastructure and grounds, supported visiting researchers, helped orient researchers to the reserve, and installed a trail camera network to document wildlife activity. This role strengthened my skills in reserve operations, independent task management, wildlife monitoring support, and maintaining spaces used for research and education.
Crew Lead
American Conservation Experience
As a crew lead, I led crews of young adults on conservation and habitat restoration projects in remote areas. I supervised and trained crew members in safe tool use, field protocols, and stewardship practices while managing logistics such as transportation, safety, tools, project quality, and communication with project partners. This role developed my leadership, communication, problem-solving, and field safety skills.

As a crew member, I completed hands-on conservation, trail, and habitat restoration projects with partners including the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and State Parks. My work included invasive plant removal, native planting, trail construction and maintenance, erosion control, dry-stone masonry, and use of hand and power tools in physically demanding field conditions.
Invasive Plant Management
Catalina Island Conservancy
As part of an invasive plant management team, I helped remove invasive plant species using manual, mechanical, and chemical methods. I mixed and applied herbicide according to safety and labeling requirements, supported habitat maintenance, and collected field data using GIS tools to map treated areas.
